Potential

Dear Future,
What is it that has been designated to me? Flashing lights and Black cards with no limit? Hot chocolate and fire places with grandchildren? We go through our days with the specific hope that tomorrow will only bring us one step closer to our ultimate goal. our ultimate calling, our pinnacle of happiness. We forfeit inculcating the the accomplishments of today in hopes that tomorrow's will be more grandiose. Our constant hunger for our skewed version of success has driven us farther and farther away from attaining actual happiness.
Back to our potential. Are we living up to it? What is OUR POTENTIAL? Our ability to accrue as much money as possible in the fastest time? Disregarding our innate morals and vindications instilled by our families in order to "get to the top"? As objective as one may try to be when answering this question it seems that cultural, social, economic and ethical backgrounds pose barriers that make it quite impossible to cross borders to get a complete answer. One may say that their potential is unlimited, having coming from an elite Caucasian background with a politically influential family and great Danes. Another might say that their potential revolves around their ability to wake up every morning in hopes of receiving a liver transplant from an unknown stranger.
When administering a diagnosis for the attainment of unlimited potential, it is an absolute necessity to address one's efforts.  Are we truly living up to our best?  Grasping a better, more enveloped sense of you is essentially living up to your potential. No one can define it for you. No media, no parents, no peers can tell you what and how you should strive for those goals. One must assess their passions, fears and ask those questions that there is no clear cut answer for. Post assessment stage, the sweat, tears and blood must be implemented.  There has never been a leader, an owner of success who hasn't gotten beaten down, only to rise and reign. Those seconds where one intimately decides that their road has not ended, but only been covered in thorns, are the invaluable seconds. So my message today is one of direct boldness, get up, get out there and fight without the intention of backing down. Tap into your inner strengths and unleash.. . your potential.
